This virtual, highly interactive 6-week program moves beyond the “core competencies" required to effectively manage and supervise your team and delves into higher-level areas of knowledge, practices, and skills needed to be a great manager or supervisor at your health center! Beginning with a review of crucial skills needed to hire, coach, retain and manage others, we quickly move to elevated learning to take your management skills to the next level.
Participants gain or strengthen skills to:
- Lead and manage change (in even the most challenging times).
- De-escalate and resolve conflict.
- Implement key decision-making practices.
- Gain or strengthen Behavioral Interviewing skills to hire the right employees for the long-term.
- Successfully manage and engage a diverse workforce
Who should attend:
This training is recommended for managers and supervisors with a minimum of 18 months of supervisory experience, OR as a follow-up to the “Core Competencies for CHC Managers and Supervisors” training, although these are not prerequisites for participation in this program.
Format:
Using the Zoom online conferencing platform, we replicate the “face-to-face” experience without the travel! Throughout each session, participants gain knowledge and skills, work together in breakout groups and participate in hands-on real-world exercises. We also include quick weekly “homework” to move learning into action for immediate impact and long-term gains.

Important technical requirements:
Each participant will need a webcam to join this training. This highly interactive program is conducted through Zoom video conferencing and all participants must join on video in order to participate. If access to a computer with a webcam is not available, Zoom has an excellent app that enables participants to join via most phones or tablets that have video capability. This helps us to achieve a true face-to-face environment during this virtual training!

Lisa Mouscher, CEO, Sogence Training and Consulting
As a popular facilitator, trainer and consultant, Lisa works primarily with leaders, managers and supervisors from Federally Qualified Health Centers and other Community Health Centers across the country. She specializes in two areas of focus: strengthening the management and supervisory skills of health center managers at all levels; and assisting health centers to create a culture of customer service. Lisa brings her extensive background in management, training, and human resources to her work with community health organizations and is known for facilitating immediately applicable results as well as lasting impact to strengthen organizations for the long term.
